Opening a foreign currency account

International outgoing payments

You may present an outgoing payment order:

  • by E-banking
  • in the branch
  • by fax
  • by mail

Residentclients need the following documents:

  • payment order
  • invoice or document as proof of particular payment obligation

For payment orders sent by E-banking, resident clients should provide the bank via fax or e-mail with accompanying documents for execution of such orders. In the case client signs special agreement with the Bank, client needs to send just payment order.

For international payment order, non-resident clients have to provide the Bank with payment instructions on their letterhead.

Any orders with secured cover and paid fee, filled out in accordance with the Guidelines for implementation of Decision on conditions and manner of arranging payments made, payments received and transfers under current and capital transactions in foreign currency and dinars:

  • received by by 12.00 p.m., shall be executed on the same day
  • received after 12 p.m., shall be processed on the following business day.

Payments in favor of beneficiary in European Union countries, in amount less than EUR 50.000,00

Payment orders in favor of beneficiary in European Union countries, in amount less that EUR 50.000,00 which Bank receives until cut of time in accordance with valid Tariff for bank's commission for payment system services, will be processed by the Bank same day by forwarding payment order to foreign correspondent bank, with the value date D+2, or with agreed value date. Beneficiary's bank will credit the beneficiary's account in accordance with its business policy. Payment orders received after the cut of time will be processed next day in the same manner.

For international payments services Bank will calculate and charge fee in accordance with Tariff for bank's commission for payment system services.

Payments of obligations toward abroad client of the Bank can execute by using available funds in foreign currency on its fcy account. If the payment is in currency different that available currency on fcy account, bank will make the conversion of necessary amount by using selling and buying exchange rates. Payments to abroad client can also execute by buying fcy funds from the Bank.

In case that beneficiary has not received funds in the above mentioned manner, or client complains about some other aspect of transaction execution, the Bank will be on its disposal to investigate and inform the client about reasons and undertaken steps in order to solve the problem, based on clients written request.

International incoming payments

Raiffeisen bank informs the clients (exporters) on any international incoming payment from abroad, received by 4.00 p.m., within the same business day. Given that information,clients need to send purpose code. Upon receipt of the information, the bank shall process such incoming payment and credit client’s account with the value date stated on the SWIFT message.
