Euromoney awards RBI for being the best regional bank in CEE

·         RBI has received this award for the sixth time

·         RBI honoured as ”Best Bank in CEE” for the third time this year

Yesterday, at the “Awards for Excellence”, Raiffeisen Bank International AG (RBI) was awarded the coveted title “Best Bank in Central and Eastern Europe” (CEE) by the British financial magazine Euromoney already for the sixth time.
”These awards are a confirmation of our work and reflect the entrenchment of RBI in CEE, which we think will remain the most important European growth region. The awards are an incentive to continue our ongoing efforts to offer our private and corporate customers the tailor-made financial services they require,” said Herbert Stepic, Chairman RBI’s Managing Board.
  
“With this title, Euromoney honoured RBI also for its active role in investment banking. In 2010, but also in the first half of 2011, we took pride in a significant deal flow. Whether in corporate bond issues in Austria, in cross-border M&A activities, in the equities business, in syndicated loan operations or in the local markets, e.g. as leading book runner of rouble bond issues, RBI Group is recognised as a leading investment bank in the region,” said Patrick Butler, Board Member of RBI in charge of global markets.

In Austria, RBI is a leading corporate and investment bank for the top-1,000 corporate customers. In Central and Eastern Europe (CEE), it acts as universal bank with an extensive network of subsidiary banks, leasing companies and a range of other specialised financial service providers in 17 markets.

After Global Finance in April and EMEA Finance at the beginning of July, Euromoney is already the third international magazine to award the title “Best Bank in CEE” to RBI this year.
